I very much enjoyed this conversation with John Papola on his Dad Saves America podcast, not least because there was a healthy mixture of common ground and disagreement.
We discussed the impact of the culture wars and, in particular, the ongoing confusion surrounding the so-called “LGBTQIA+ community”.

Superb as ever, thank you Andrew for your continuing stance on this hugely important issue. I spend each day in a state of bewilderment that so few people seem to care about the harm being done to children and young people….never mind the harm to women and the norms of a fair and decent society.
A long watch, but worth it. You have presented a comprehensive argument to which I will refer people. I have gay and lesbian friends. The gay friends have stopped asking me "what's your problem with Trans?" though, I fear, not because I have convinced them of my argument, but because they have determined I am a bigot. IMO there are a couple of reasons why gay people have swallowed the expansion of LGB to LGBTQIA+. Firstly, compassion for their fellow man. This has been exploited by hyperbole on suicides; and by baseless claims about the "oppression" of Trans people . Secondly, because all these people are viewed as *other* in society, creating a feeling of kin for gays who have felt likewise. I am often pointing out that "Trans" is an unhelpful word as there is as you say, a spectrum of candidates to that description, from the opportunistic rapist to the tragedy of the adult transsexual who has undergone years of painful surgeries (I worked with such a person). My lesbian friends haven't fallen for the Trans/Gender nonsense one bit - they correctly observed from the start that this was mostly about men expanding their rights over women. It was so good to hear you patiently explaining your perspective - it was like having my brains washed and combed! Bless you, Andrew.
