The “heresy hunt” at the Edinburgh Rape Crisis Centre
My interview with Maya Forstater and Michael Foran.
Roz Adams, a former support counsellor for victims of sexual assault, recently won her constructive dismissal case against the Edinburgh Rape Crisis Centre. She had been subjected to what the judge described as a “Kafkaesque” disciplinary procedure due to her gender-critical views.
On last night’s episode of Free Speech Nation, I spoke to Maya Forstater (co-founder and CEO of Sex Matters) and Michael Foran (lecturer in public law at the University of Glasgow) about the implications of this landmark case.
This is entirely due to Stonewall, who deliberately misinterpreted the law and promulgated this to organisations which are members of their "diversity champions" scheme. With all that we now know of this activist organisation, including the harmful materials it pumped into schools, a case out to be made to the charities commission to strip its charitable status. Does anyone know how we go about doing that?
It's remarkable this isn't picked up more widely in the media. People don't want to speak up out of fear of losing their job or being socially shunned. And all because of the "religious" beliefs of other people. It is insane this practice isn't amplified and widely condemned in our free and democratic societies.
Thank you for paying attention to this in your writings and your interviews!
