This is such a difficult concept to explain to people who don’t understand the issues around gender ideology. Banning conversion therapy sounds like a good thing, so thanks Andrew for this clear explanation as to how wrong it is. We should all bookmark it.
What is extremely concerning is that the quality of the people in power, particularly on the left, is currently so dire, this is likely to pass easily. A combination of authoritarian ideologues and the intellectually challenged does not fill me with confidence.
As always you are right about all this, Andrew. Let's not ignore the fact that the current Health Minister, Wes Streeting, is a gay man and all these initiatives are probably not without his blessing. You would imagine he will be very familiar with the issues.
I’m not sure. He used to work for Stonewall and was very much a ‘transwomen are women’ activist. He has since mellowed and did ban puberty blockers initially but he appears to agree with the bill. If he was against it, it wouldn’t have been in the King’s Speech. He also flip flops and says different things according to his audience.
As familiar with the issues as a succession of Labour ministers for the protection of women and girls who support men in female single-sex spaces and failed to support a 'grooming gangs' enquiry...?

The whole thing in a nutshell, thank you Andrew, I shall be sharing far and wide!
This is insane.
