Aggressive, abusive, entitled men in bad wigs scream about justice while threatening women — and we’re told *they’re the vulnerable ones. The mask has slipped. It’s one thing for political and cultural elites to embrace this delusion, but when confused, impressionable children (eight-year-olds?!) are manipulated and medicalised, when women are forced to surrender their spaces, their sports, even their safety in prisons — all to appease an ideology that overrides reason and genuine compassion — we’ve entered a truly dark place. Has there ever been a starker divide between those who still see reality and those who choose to look away?

Great work, Andrew Doyle. We're right behind you.

Well said.

I've not seen such a stark divide in my life. Never expected to see one either.

But I accept, we are speaking different languages.

Brilliant Andrew, thank you. Operation Let Them Speak is working a treat and illustrates perfectly the importance of free speech. The more they speak the more they ‘peak’. Consequently we can see that all attempts at speech control by governments must be resisted. We have laws against incitement to violence already, we don’t need laws against causing offence. And speaking of inciting violence, the contrast between the lack of action by police towards trans activists in comparison to the incarceration of Lucy Connolly could not be clearer.

I love the expression I saw on X yesterday re a “trans woman”; a man wearing womanface… the argument being why is a white person wearing blackface considered abhorrent, yet a man wearing womanface isn’t?

Off topic, but I’m always so happy when I scroll through my inbox in the morning and see a fresh contribution from Andrew and this morning there were two! Something to look forward to when I have time later today. Probably my favourite subscription.

Oh Andrew, the appearance of that little fox 🦊 made me laugh out loud. Cheeky.

I know this is a serious subject but the writing and delivery of this piece was fantastic.

Bravo.

They'd be safe in Gaza now shouting "one struggle one fight Palestine trans rights". There are no tall buildings left for them to be thrown off. Every cloud has a silver lining. Bye the way, that's a joke. I don't want to get in the same trouble as Andrew Lawrence.

Good news from Iceland! Icelandic journalist Páll Vilhjálmsson was acquitted yesterday of "hatespeech" charges brought by the Reykjavík Police Chief on behalf of Samtökin 78 (The National Queer Organisation of Iceland). This is a major victory for free speech in Iceland! Thank you Andrew, for keeping all of us inspired to continue the fight! ❤️ https://irislee.substack.com/p/perhaps-there-is-hope-for-iceland

Spot on Andrew, as you point out the aggression they show highlights why they should never me allow in women's spaces, they are clearly a danger.

Thanks once again Andrew.

I'm not quite addressing the issues here but felt a supportive response, even if I digress a bit, was needed.

I'm not sure where the press is up to with all this - I try to not read stuff that winds me up too much, and I sense things may be slowly changing slightly for the better. However, I did read a piece, either BBC or Guardian online (apologies for being lazy and not checking), which was about the life and recent death of drag artist The Vivienne.

Whilst the journalist grappled incoherently throughout with 'they/their', his family just went for 'he'him' in their genuine love and grief for someone who died a sad death, and who they all knew was male. Whatever anyone thinks about the modern manifestation of drag, this was a human being, not a pronoun.

I mean no disrespect to the people grieving, but the journalist made a mockery of the story because the mangled grammar made it unreadable.

I'm also grappling with the Glastonbury fiasco. I dont want any artistic endeavour to tell me to chant political slogens. I'll choose my own thank you. But I am not sure the fallout of calling for the head of the BBC to resign (someone accused of being seriously biased towards Israel??) because of a broadcast of misguided performers at a festival, who chose to whip up a crowd with kindergarden level chants, is even intelligent let alone justified. Chants of no originality or creativity that simplify a very complex international political situation to death threats towards free-speech at a festival, albeit unwise and objectionable, and not in the spirit of Glastonbury, soldiers who have to sign up to fight and risk thier lives. (And I am not a supporter of the current Israeli government) are surely better ignored and kept in proportion. If you cant have we are in trouble.

Humour and sarcasm must be the best way through this sad and inconsistent chaos.
